I am from Eastern Idaho and Colin is from Eastern Washington. We met at BYU and were married in 2006. I graduated with a B.S. in Dietetics and Colin a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering. Colin works as a geotechnical engineer for Parsons Brinkerhoff. I work full time as Jackson and Annie's mom. Any given Saturday, you are sure to find us on a hike or drive exploring the beautiful state of Utah.
"We fill the hands and nurseries of our children with all manner of dolls, drums, and horses, withdrawing their eyes from the plain face and sufficing object of nature, the sun and moon, the animals, the water and stones which should be their toys." -Ralph Waldo Emerson, from "The Poet"
It looks beautiful! I can't wait to see it finished. We'll be there in August and with the progress you're making I assume it will be done by then. Waaaaay back when I was working on it I found a suggestion for making hardwood floors out of stained and cut popsicle sticks. I still have a mostly-full box of 1000 popsicle sticks if you're interested :)
