Saturday, we went for an adventure out in the west desert. The road we took follows the Pony Express trail. We went to look for geodes (and any other nice rocks). It was such a pleasant day, I love the desert in the spring time. Jackson loved looking for rocks and digging in the dirt. He kept saying he was helping us. Didn’t find any real geodes—I think we were in the wrong spot—but found some agates and fossils.

We found a nice spot in a juniper forest for a picnic. Jackson really loves the concept of picnics now.
