I think this picture is wonderfully symbolic of the toddler stage. Jackson looks so grown up with his hair cut and nice church clothes, and yet the pacifier and clutched bear show he is still a dependent little guy that needs to be occasionally comforted. We usually leave for church immediately after he wakes up from his nap so he is usually a little groggy as we get him ready for church. Our deal today was that if he would leave his pacifier in the car, then he could take the bear into church. There were several other stuffed animals he wanted to take the church that had to be left in the car. Sorry Eeyore, no church for you.
We went for a lovely drive up Provo Canyon this evening in the rain. The fall colors are wonderful right now.
