Mountain Solace

Since Colin had taken the day off and we didn’t want to sit around the house moping, we went for a little rock hounding adventure today. What do you do the day after a miscarriage? Go rock hounding of course!  It was really nice to do something lovely and fun after such a yucky day yesterday. We went to a little rock hounding spot on the back side of Mt. Nebo.

Crossing the red creek--he made it, by the way.

Jackson actually walked most of the way on his own. He’s getting pretty good at hiking, he’s just really slow and stops to pick up rocks, sticks, deer droppings, etc. Sometimes we would get impatient and help him go faster.

Jackson kept surprising us by easily scaling up little hills. Colin calls him a baby mountain goat.

I really like this picture. Jackson adds interest to any picture he is in.

My man—I am so fortunate to have him.

That area is beautiful! It is nice that you are so close to so many different hikes and various landscapes.
