Sixteen months old

DSC_0472

- A girlie girl, loves her dolls and baby dolls. Has jewelry box from Aunt Mandy to keep her “pretties” in. Actually says the word “pretty” when she sees jewelry, marbles, glass or other shiny things. Loves to put necklaces, bracelets, and rings on. Watches her mama intently when she puts makeup on or does her hair. Will go up to women at church to admire their jewelry.

- Almost done transitioning to one nap a day. Generally, a rock star sleeper.

- Heard her say “mama” a couple time while looking at a picture of me, but haven’t gotten her to say it again. Other new words: pretty, drink, book, there she is (during peak-a-boo)

-Fits into nursery (even the same size). Sits and listens during singing time and lesson. Tries to do some of the hand movements during the songs. Needs to work on not eating the other kids’ snacks.

-Moves fast enough now you could call it running. Almost can throw things; they usually only get a few inches in front of her. An excellent climber and dare devil.

-Mischievous—likes to go for things she knows she isn’t supposed to have (cell phones, laptops, markers). Still doesn’t respond to “no” or stop what she is doing.

-Gets stuck a lot. She likes to stick her arms, legs, fingers into tight spaces and gets stuck on a regular basis. Her legs in the crib, her fingers in the spaces of the shopping cart, that sort of thing.
