Idaho trip and other catching up (10/8-10/21)

Hanging out by Grove Creek one evening so Daddy could go biking on the trail.

Jackson is really into Halloween. I cut out pumpkins and eyes, noses, and mouths. Jackson pasted the faces on the pumpkins. Too bad construction paper fades in the sun so quick. (His face is covered with PB&J.)

One last fall color adventure and hike to Horse Flat with Aunt Mandy too. I can’t remember having so many fall color adventures.

(Horse Flat)

Colin worked the entire week in Vernal on an expansion of the Airport.

While Colin was gone, I escaped loneliness by going to see Grammy Goose. The 3.5 hour drive was bearable, even though Annie doesn’t seem to sleep in cars anymore. The kids love their Grammy Goose. We went to the little Japanese?-inspired park south of Broadway on the river. We went for a drive with Grammy goose to see the windmills. It' was mostly for Jackson, but Annie enjoyed them too and kept saying “wee! wee! wee!” Grammy goose also took us to a pumpkin patch where we got to ride on a little train. Jackson was so brave and actually rode it. We kept getting stuck in the mud due to the heavy rain and the riding lawn mower had to pull us out.

Everyone wants to sit right by Grammy Goose.

The pink panther!

UFO’s in our yard. These are barricade lights that flash red. (Something to do with Colin’s work and not getting hit by taxiing airplanes.)  With my shutter so slow, it looks like they are on consistently. The kids had lots of fun running around them.
