Memorial Day Weekend

For this holiday, we found ourselves in some exotic places such as the Jordan River Parkway, Eureka (small mining town), and Home depot. It was beautiful weather and everywhere we went the air smelled like Russian Olive trees—one of my favorite smells.

I was looking for a mountain adventure, but we sort of ended up at the little city park in Eureka. I can be flexible. After our picnic and playing at the park, we went to the Red Barn in Santaquin for some ice cream. Jackson wondered if they would have chocolate ice cream on the way there.

“T” stands for Tintic which is a word for this mining area and comes from Chief Tintic (not sure what tribe).

We rounded out the day by taking off our clothes and running through the sprinkler. (Well, some of us.)
