This was our first Christmas where we didn’t go to either of our parent’s houses. We decided it’s time we start creating our own family traditions. It was also the first year Jackson could really anticipate and appreciate Christmas, which made it one of my favorite Christmases in a long time. We went on adventures, ate a yummy beef roast, drank cranberry/ginger ale punch, lit luminarias, made lots of cookies, dressed up and acted out the nativity three times, ate sausage pigs in a blanket with sausage gravy like Aunt Shirley’s (but no where as good), opened stockings full of goodies, opened lots of presents from generous grandparents, dressed the kids up nice and matching for church, and went to Christmas Dinner with Colin’s family. The pictures, as usual, probably do a much better job of telling the story.
