Tomorrow is Jackson’s 3rd birthday! At first glance, it looks like Jackson hasn’t changed much in the past year. If you look close he’s a few inches taller, and he isn’t as baby faced. He also will pose for a picture now. Sometimes. He’s wearing big boy underwear in this picture. He’s well on his way to being potty trained. He knows his alphabet and can sing parts of the song. He is much more confident and isn’t afraid of slides, swings, or the wind anymore. He is very social and loves to being with other kids. He is nice to other kids and knows how to share and take turns. He is 100% okay with being left at nursery and other people’s houses. He is very verbal and talks our ears off. He likes to do a running commentary on what I am doing “mommy drink juice? mommy likes juice.” He stopped calling me mama and calls me mommy. He likes to play pretend, especially pretend eating food and pretend hiding and fighting from monsters, dinosaurs, and moose: “save me!” or “I’ll save you!” He loves to wrestle with daddy still. He loves to play with Annie and tries to wrestle with her. He’s the only one that can get her to laugh a lot. He is well balanced with his interests (trains, planes, dinosaurs, cars, trucks). He still doesn’t sleep very well and takes a nap about twice a week. He’s figured out computers. He knows how to turn my computer on, find the shortcut to the internet, the link to disney jr. where he watches clips and plays lots of computer games. He also finds my blog, the link on my blog to tagged videos where he watches videos of himself and Annie. He can find other people’s blogs and watch videos. He doesn’t like to leave the computer on, so he knows how to put it in sleep mode when he’s done. I might be biased, but I think Jackson is really smart. We love him dearly and are so proud of what a big boy he has become.
